The day-long Adopt a Ship launch with Anglo-Eastern concluded successfully at Laguna Resettlement Community School (LRCS), the third participating school in the program. School Head Mrs. Rosalie Mabale warmly welcomed the delegates from Anglo-Eastern, represented by Atty. Kim Cabuhat and Ms. Dia Cernol, together with the AASI Team led by C/O Jeffrey Aldas. In her opening remarks, Mrs. Mabale expressed deep gratitude for having LRCS as a host school, emphasizing the unique chance this initiative provides students to learn about the maritime industry, discover different types of ships, and shape their future aspirations. The celebration came alive with vibrant cultural dance and song performances by LRCS students, setting a spirited tone for the event. Atty. Cabuhat delivered an inspiring message, highlighting the program’s mission to expand students’ horizons and open diverse academic and career opportunities. C/O Aldas followed with an engaging presentation of the program’s objectives and phases, keeping students involved through interactive activities and fun games. To enrich classroom learning, teachers received large 2x3-meter world maps to help students track their adopted ship’s movements and develop a deeper understanding of global trade routes and geography. The program concluded with heartfelt remarks from Ms. Liza Nolasco, who thanked maritime partners for their support and expressed optimism for the program’s success at LRCS. The day ended with a group photo, capturing the bright smiles, enthusiasm, and sense of inspiration shared by everyone present.
