The initial schools set to participate in AAS

In the Pacific, Fiji has begun visits to the first schools participating in the Adopt A Ship (AAS) program. These visits include meetings with Heads of School and teachers, led collaboratively by the Adopt A Ship International Coordinator and the Ministry of Education. The main goal is to raise awareness among teachers about the program, outlining its purpose, benefits, and alignment with educational objectives. The initiative aims to encourage active teacher participation, highlight the program’s role in enriching students’ learning experiences, and strengthen overall education. Additionally, the visits foster collaboration between program organizers and schools by aligning with institutional goals, addressing teachers’ concerns, and motivating them to support and inspire student engagement.
