Adopt A Ship Introduction Program at CLM Public School

On April 5, Chief Engineer Kishore Gambhir, Adopt A Ship Coordinator Mr. Smit Kumar, and IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador George Hoyt, FNI, celebrated India Maritime Day with the introduction of Adopt A Ship to six hundred children and the dedicated staff of the CLM Public School in Noida. We provided them with world maps and showed them an excellent film made by the Maritime Awareness Program Society (MAPS) and the International Maritime Employers' Council (IMEC). This created a very enjoyable discussion with the children as they embarked on their virtual journey following ships around the world. They expressed great enthusiasm and had many interesting questions about the maritime industry. We agreed with Managing Director Jogender Singh and Principal Reena Gupta to launch the Adopt A Ship programs for their elementary, junior high, and senior high school students when the new school year begins in June.
