MNPI Launching Ceremony with Pacita II Complex Elementary School

A bright and promising morning set the tone for the relaunch of the Adopt-A-Ship program at Pacita Complex 2 Elementary School. As one of the pioneering schools of the program, PC2ES once again opened its doors to maritime learning, warmly welcoming delegates from Marlow Navigation and the AASI team led by IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador George Hoyt. School Head Mrs. Leticia Deciar opened the event with heartfelt gratitude, reflecting the school's continued commitment to integrating maritime education into their curriculum. In a meaningful first, selected students and teachers shared their experiences and learnings from the program, highlighting its growing impact on both learners and educators. They spoke about how the AAS program sparked curiosity, broadened their worldview, and deepened their understanding of the maritime industry. Capt. Leo Tenorio energized the crowd with inspiring stories from his life at sea and led an interactive Q&A session, where students enthusiastically answered maritime-related questions and received prizes for their participation. Ambassador Hoyt emphasized the importance of teamwork, respect, and a positive mindset, while C/O Jeffrey Aldas presented the objectives of the program and officially welcomed the PC2ES community onboard for a new cycle of learning. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Bitoon, who expressed optimism for another successful year of implementation. The distribution of world maps, which serve as a valuable tool for weekly lessons and ship tracking, followed - capping the event with a group photo that captured the strong partnership and shared vision between the school and the maritime community. This relaunch marks another inspiring chapter for PC2ES as it continues its journey of bringing the maritime world closer to young learners - one ship, one classroom, and one story at a time.
