The Adopt a Ship program continued its launch at Pacita Complex 1 Elementary School, the second school partnering with Anglo-Eastern. Led by School Head Mrs. Neneth Cuaño, the PC1ES community warmly and energetically welcomed delegates from Anglo-Eastern, the AASI Team, and SDO San Pedro. Students waved flag banners and cheered enthusiastically as the guests were introduced and made their way to the front stage. In her welcome remarks, Mrs. Cuaño expressed gratitude for the program’s continuation at PC1ES, emphasizing the importance of shipping and encouraging students to consider its career opportunities. Dr. Raniel Crisologo highlighted the program's significant impact, noting its potential to benefit students and shape their futures career paths. The event also featured lively song and dance performances by students, followed by inspiring messages from C/E Jessie Rex Martin and Capt. Neeraj Dhingra, who discussed the vast opportunities within the maritime industry and how the program equips students with tools to understand shipping and its operations. Capt. Rex Hingpit delivered an encouraging message, urging students to study diligently, pursue their dreams, and consider careers aligned with their aspirations. Meanwhile, C/O Jeffrey Aldas introduced the program’s objectives and implementation phases, engaging students further with a fun paper boat-making activity. Teachers were presented with 2x3-meter world maps to help students track the movements of their adopted ship, enhancing their understanding of the fundamental aspects of geography. Ms. Magie Iñosa concluded the event with heartfelt closing remarks, expressing appreciation to maritime partners while sharing her hopes for another successful program implementation at PC1ES. The day ended with a group photo, capturing the bright smiles and enthusiasm of all participants.
