IMO Ambassador George Hoyt and the AASI Team met with Fil-Star Maritime's General Manager Capt. Genesis Pabilario and Ms. Daisy Salamat on August 8, 2024. Ms. Salamat, hopeful and eager to participate, committed to securing the necessary approval from their ship officers to begin their involvement. The positive and genuine connections established during the meeting solidified Fil-Star's commitment to the program. Capt. Pabilario, with high hopes for the program's success, expressed his willingness to encourage all of their Filipino ship captains across 14 vessels to participate. The discussion was both productive and inspiring, leaving everyone optimistic about the potential partnership.
