Meeting with Crossworld Marine Services

On August 7, 2024, IMO Ambassador George Hoyt and the AASI Team had an engaging and insightful meeting with Crossworld’s President Capt. Levy Capayas and Vice President Rochelle Reyes. The meeting began with Mr. Hoyt, providing an in-depth introduction of the AAS program through a detailed presentation, accompanied by a briefer and brochure to ensure a thorough understanding of the program and outlined how they could get involved. The discussion was both productive and enlightening, with Capt. Capayas and Ms. Reyes expressed genuine enthusiasm for the program. They were impressed by the initiative and praised its potential to make a significant difference. Their optimism about participating in the program was evident, and they expressed a strong willingness to collaborate with one school as part of their involvement. The meeting ended on a high note, filled with optimism and the promise of a fruitful partnership that could greatly enhance maritime awareness for students. Before leaving, the AASI team was invited to promote the Adopt a Ship program on Crossworld’s online platform, signifying the start of a fruitful and meaningful partnership.
