MEETING WITH PACC SHIPPING

On December 10, 2024, George Hoyt, IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador and Global Coordinator of Adopt a Ship International, along with the AASI Team, met with Capt. Prasad Gore, Senior Manager of PACC Shipping, and Capt. Adrian Ludovice, President & CEO. The meeting featured an in-depth presentation of the Adopt a Ship program, emphasizing its mission to inspire and educate younger generations about the maritime industry. The discussions explored potential ways PACC Shipping could actively contribute to supporting and implementing the program in San Pedro schools. The meeting concluded on a highly positive note, with PACC Shipping expressing strong interest and willingness to participate in the AAS program. Their involvement is expected to significantly enhance the program’s reach as it extends to Junior and Senior High Schools in the coming year. This promising collaboration represents another milestone in the growth of the AAS program, strengthening its impact and furthering its influence in educating the next generation of maritime professionals.
