No rain is too heavy, and no tide too high for the dedicated community of Cuyab Elementary School as it proudly relaunched the Adopt-A-Ship program. Welcoming delegates with a festive drum and lyre band, CES turned a rainy day into a celebration of learning, resilience, and partnership. Despite a flooded venue, the warmth and enthusiasm of the school community - led by School Head Mr. Jhumar Concepcion - shone through. In his message, Mr. Concepcion expressed heartfelt thanks and strong support for the program and its maritime partners. The event featured powerful testimonies from students and teachers, highlighting how the program deepened their understanding of maritime life and sparked dreams of future careers at sea. Capt. Leo Tenorio shared his seafaring journey and led an exciting Q&A session, rewarding correct answers with Marlow pouch bags, while Ambassador George Hoyt inspired the crowd with his message on values and perseverance. C/O Jeffrey Aldas introduced the program’s phases and officially marked the start of the program at CES with high hopes for another successful run. Closing the ceremony, Ms. Ruby Ann Domingo reflected on the program’s positive impact on students and expressed hope for continued collaboration. The event ended with the distribution of world maps, a key learning tool to support weekly classroom integration, followed by a group photo capturing the spirit of partnership and purpose that defines the Adopt-A-Ship journey. With renewed energy, CES once again charts a course toward maritime learning, global awareness, and inspiration for the next generation.
